Work & task history

Find waiting decisions, running work, earlier tasks, receipts and unresolved helpers.

Ophio isn’t released yet. These docs describe the development version; app downloads are not available.

Work is the selected project’s task overview. Use the project name in the header to switch projects or one-offs. It separates Needs you, Running and Results; their counts refer to attention, active tasks and unread results, not the same thing.

Answer what is waiting

Open Needs you. Review the first outlined item, then the remaining questions, approvals or decisions. Other projects links to work waiting elsewhere. Read the exact requested action and scope before allowing it.

A question is not an approval to run a command. Task permissions determine which approval requests can occur; read-only Ask and Plan automatically decline requests to execute, modify files or widen access. See Agents & task permissions.

An item answered on another authorized device can disappear here. If offline, reconnect before assuming a displayed request is still pending.

Running and queued work

Running shows active tasks and Next up. A project can have one coding writer, with read-only work alongside it. A queue can wait for dependencies, permission, a free writer slot or a decision about an unresolved result.

Opening a task shows Talk. Its header has that task’s Stop. Pause queue prevents later starts but does not stop current work. For queue order, dependencies and time-limited start permission, see Queue separate tasks.

Results and earlier tasks

Results shows a brief since you last looked, unread results and reviewed tasks. Expand the brief for detail. If some events are unavailable, it says so; a partial brief is not a complete history.

Open a result to inspect its receipt. Earlier tasks loads older records from the computer where available. In Project → All tasks, use Find a task to search titles or requests and choose All, Active, Done or Archived. Done includes finished, failed and stopped tasks. Search operates on the records loaded; load earlier records when looking farther back.

Task actions let you rename or archive a task where its current state permits it. Archiving keeps its request and history under Archived; it is not file deletion, provider-history deletion or a substitute for stopping running work. Removing a queued item also keeps its task record.

Receipts and uncertain outcomes

From Talk’s task-title menu, open What happened in this task. Read the result, messages, steps, changed files, checks and Stop receipt. Agent-reported results, computer-observed commands and your own checks are different evidence.

Looks right records your review. Helpers checked records your own inspection of unresolved helpers. Neither establishes independent computer verification. If the app asks you to reconcile an outcome, inspect the computer and any external service before recording a decision. A missing result is not a failed action you can safely repeat.

See Messages, feedback & results for corrections, retesting and portable briefs.

Live agents and helpers

Project → Live agents shows agent readiness, running and unresolved tasks, and recently finished work. Known helpers are listed with their reported state and available Stop controls. A helper outside Ophio’s process containment can outlive its parent.

Outside the app observes identifiable Claude Code and Codex activity. A saved session file does not prove a running process. Observation alone grants no control; review any offered Stop carefully. See Agents started outside Ophio.
