Capture inbox

Save shared text, links, images and files on the phone, then choose where to use or send them.

Ophio isn’t released yet. These docs describe the development version; app downloads are not available.

Share supported text, a link, image or file from another Android app to Ophio. It is kept in Capture inbox on this device. Open it under Work → Project → Capture inbox.

Receiving an item does not start a task, send a message or upload it to the computer. The device capture inbox is different from the computer’s destination folder for received transfers.

Use in a message

Choose Use in a message, select the destination project and review the resulting new-task draft. Ophio appends the content rather than sending it immediately.

  • Text and links become draft text.
  • Images become local annotation sources, with retained media checked before use.
  • Other files contribute a textual reference. This does not deliver their bytes; use Send to computer… for that.

Review the computer, project, agent, mode, attachments and permissions before starting the task. An existing annotation draft can already contain images; inspect all included sources rather than just the newest one.

Annotate an image

An image offers Annotate. Add marks or comments, then follow Mark up the screen. The whole included image is shared, not just the marked area. A capture can contain notifications or credentials; there is no automatic redaction.

Send to the computer

Send to computer… opens a transfer with the source filled in. Shared text or a link becomes a Markdown note; other files retain their bytes. Review the filename and destination, then send using File transfers.

A successful transfer is not a sent task message. Attaching the uploaded file to a conversation requires a separate reviewed send.

Discard and storage problems

Discard… asks before removing this inbox copy. It does not delete the original in the other app, an already created draft copy or anything already sent to the computer.

A storage warning can mean an item exists only in memory. Use Try saving again and keep the app open until the save succeeds. If media is missing, share the original again. Exporting device data does not include image or file bytes; keep important originals elsewhere.
