Library has Agents, Skills and Files, and opens on Agents. Agents and Skills are task launchers; choose Files to browse and edit.
Files reaches folders registered on the computer and restricted roots for discovered agent files, not the whole filesystem. It can hold skills, agent definitions, instructions, notes and other files. Reading and editing have separate device grants. Each folder can also be read-only.
Find and read a file
In Library → Files, choose a folder under Folders on the computer or use Search files. Agent files groups discovered instructions by tool and project. Favourites and Recently opened provide shortcuts. A Markdown file’s Document view offers Rendered and Source.
Large files, unsupported encodings and mixed line endings may be read-only. Use Send to this device to download original bytes, even when the editor cannot handle a file. See File transfers.
Edit and save
Open Edit Markdown. Changes are a device draft until saved. Closing the editor keeps the draft. Open draft returns to it; Discard draft… removes only this device’s draft after confirmation.
Tap Review changes, read Review save, then Save on computer. The save checks the file revision you opened. A changed file, missing write permission or uncertain result can block it. A sent request is not a confirmed save.
Instruction-file edits can affect later agent runs. Saving does not prove that a running agent reloaded them. Review instructions before enabling them or starting new work.
Conflicting edits
If the computer changed the file, use Compare with the computer’s or Review conflicting changes. Comparisons include Base → This device, Base → Computer and Computer → This device.
For overlapping changes choose Keep my draft, Keep the computer’s, Keep both or Edit by hand. Merge into a new draft creates another local draft; it does not overwrite the computer. Review the entire merge before saving. Remove any manual conflict markers yourself.
Save as a new copy… lets you review a new name and Save beside the original. Keep draft for later leaves it local. Discard my draft… requires confirmation. If the computer changes again during review, compare again rather than bypassing the revision check.
Create, rename, move or delete
In a writable folder, New file opens File name and Create file. The file’s actions offer Rename…, Move… and Delete…. Review the name or destination before Rename file or Move file.
Moves stay within the same Library root. They do not move between roots. Old-location device drafts can remain separate after a rename or move. Inspect them before discarding or copying their text.
Deletion requires review of the named file. It is not the same as discarding a phone draft. A stale or changed file can refuse an operation; refresh and review its current state.
Recently deleted
Recently deleted lists computer Library trash kept for 30 days. Restore original path refuses to replace an existing file. Alternatively enter Restore as copy name, then Restore as copy. The copy goes into the original folder and leaves the trash copy available.
Trash recovery is not a backup of every project change. A folder or permission that is no longer available can prevent recovery.
Uncertain saves and offline drafts
If the connection fails during saving, keep the draft and use Check again. Do not issue a new save just because confirmation is missing. Check a save opens the retained recovery evidence. Refresh comparison checks current computer content. Opening recovery does not change the file.
A recovery copy can differ from both the current file and another device draft. Compare before turning it into an edit or discarding it. Resolve an unreadable destination on the computer first. Do not erase evidence while a save remains unconfirmed.
Offline drafts stay on this device where local storage succeeds. They are not a computer backup. Read storage failures and keep the app open if the draft is only in memory.
Instruction evidence
From the task selector, open Instructions and Refresh instructions. The report distinguishes Agent reported loading this source from Discovered, not confirmed loaded, missing files and files the computer could not inspect. It compares available starting and current revisions.
Open in Library appears only for a source inside an accessible Library folder. Discovery is not proof of loading or later reload. Project settings may be deliberately ignored; see Security & access.
A task’s Make reusable… action prepares editable instructions for a Drafts folder. Saving those instructions does not activate a skill or change the task’s permissions.
