Transfers sends files between this device and the selected computer. It requires transfer permission. Transfer history records the destination, progress and verification result.
Send to the computer
Open Library → Files → Transfers, or Send to computer… on an item in Capture inbox. In Send a file, choose a File source:
- File opens Choose a file on this device.
- Text lets you enter File name and File text. Use a
.mdor.txtname.
Under Destination, choose the computer’s inbox, A project folder, or Attach to a message. For a project, choose Project and Folder within project. Leave the latter empty for the project root. Choose folder… opens shared folder browsing; Use this folder confirms it.
Automatically discovered Agent files roots are not upload destinations. Choose a normal writable folder instead.
The inbox destination displays the received-files folder and computer when known. If the computer has no inbox, choose another destination or configure a folder there with:
ophio inbox set FOLDER
Tap Send after reviewing the source and destination. Ophio checks the destination for the selected name and content before sending. An unavailable or changed destination can block the transfer. Check the displayed reason rather than changing paths blindly.
Uploading with Attach to a message does not send a task message. Review and send that message separately. A selected file is kept locally for upload where storage allows. If the retained copy is unavailable, select the original file again. Read storage errors; an in-memory draft requires keeping the app open.
If the name exists
The collision review includes the proposed name in its keep-both action, for example Keep both · notes (2).md. The replacement action also names the file, for example Replace notes.md. Cancel send leaves it unsent.
Replacement checks the existing revision. A supported replaced file moves into Library trash and can be restored through Recently deleted. If replacement is unavailable, use a different name instead. Do not assume a file changed after review can still be replaced.
Pause, resume and cancel
Pause holds a transfer. Continue resumes a resumable one. An upload interrupted by the connection can continue automatically after reconnecting.
Cancelling asks the computer to discard staged bytes. It does not remove a file already delivered. If the computer could not confirm whether a file was placed, inspect the reported destination and use Clear after checking…. Clearing the record changes nothing on the computer.
Limits, storage availability and granted destinations can prevent an upload. Read the transfer’s error rather than assuming a progress bar or local draft means the file arrived.
Download original files
In Library, open a file and tap Send to this device. Transfers downloads the original bytes, including for files that the Markdown editor cannot safely edit.
A Verified result shows a SHA-256 prefix. For a download, this requires local byte verification; computer-side completion alone does not establish phone integrity. Verification checks byte integrity, not whether the file is safe to open.
Tap Save to device to keep the download in a device location. Save another copy creates another saved copy. If only the computer’s historical sending record remains, download from Library again.
